ICON 2003-2008 Ram 2500 & 3500 4.5" Lift - Stage 2 # K214501T

This ICON K214501T Stage 2 4.5" Lift is designed to fit all 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 model year Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 series single rear wheel 4x4 trucks. Dual Rear Wheel 3500 models will require a different length U-bolt. The main difference between the Stage 1 and Stage 2 system are the shock absorbers. This ICON Stage 2 System features upgraded ICON V.S. Series 2.0" Body equipped External Reservoir Front and Shocks. The Stage 2 system is an upgrade over the Stage 1 and the ride and handling difference is noticeable. Please be sure to select your vehicle type before finalizing your order. ICON tubular steel upper and lower links increase performance, strength, and range of alignment. These link arms decrease the bind found in the factory link bushings. This performance system with link arms is great for towing, rough construction sites, off-road use and country dirt roads. ICON designed this lift to keep a smooth highway feel. Installing this kit allows proper clearance for 35" tall tires with no modifications, and some 37" tires with minor fender well trimming for clearance. With the endless hours ICON has spent testing and tuning their suspension components and shocks together, you can rest assured you have one of the best suspension solutions on the market. To correct the steering geometry the ICON Stage 2 System a Pan-Rod Drop Bracket and new Upper and Lower Control Links. Retaining the sway bar is important on a daily driver as it prevents excessive side to side sway. The ICON Stage 2 System include the necessary components to allow you to retain your factory sway bar.

The heart of the ICON 4.5" Suspension Lift System are the ICON coil springs and the reservoir shocks. The 4.5" Dodge Ram 2500 / 3500 suspension system is designed to offer you both incredible ride quality and daily driver performance and it's the coil springs that make this possible. ICON Coil Springs feature a Dual Rate that have a softer normal ride zone and an aggressive 2nd rate to help prevent bottoming out. That means during normal street driving the small bumps are easily absorbed by the springs "soft" rate. This allows the ICON 4.5" system to provide a great highway ride. When you take the truck offroad the 2nd rate will engage and firm up the suspension as the bumps get bigger. By having a firm 2nd rate the ICON spring helps to prevent frequent bottoming out that plagues these trucks. ICON covers their coil springs using a dual stage powder coat process that helps prevent corrosion and each spring is shot peened and preset to help reduce sagging. This ICON kit also includes adjustable upper control links. This allows you to correct and set the proper amount of caster. Correct caster settings on a Dodge are critical and ICON knows this. Because the control links are adjustable you can dial in more or less caster to suit your driving style and needs. A performance suspension system must be controlled by a quality shock absorber. The Stage 2 # K241501T kit includes a set of ICON 2.0 Reservoir Series Shocks. The ICON 2.0 Reservoir shocks provide a very noticeable increase in off-road performance and still manage to deliver an incredible ride quality on the street. ICON builds and valves their Shocks in-house and each is specifically desgined for the vehicle application. These are not "1 size fits all" shock absorbers. These are purpose built for use on a lifted Solid Axle Ram 2500 or 3500 4x4! The ride quality improvement provided by the ICON 2.0" Reservoir Shocks over the stock Dodge shocks is proof that the ICON Research and Development investment paid off.
