ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2005 - 2021 Toyota Tacoma Stage 8 System with Billet Aluminum Control Arms # K53008. This suspension package is designed for use on the 2016 and newer Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and Tacoma PreRunner 6-lug models. The ICON Stage 8 system includes vehicle-specific tuned 2.5 Series Extended Travel coilover shocks featuring a remote reservoir for exceptional cooling properties and ICON-engineered Eibach coil springs for superior vehicle “feel” through the range of travel. These coilovers are also height adjustable from 0-2.75" allowing the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. Used in conjunction with the included ICON upper control arm, these extended travel coilovers add increased droop travel to the front suspension. To increase the ride quality of the truck and gain additional droop travel, the ICON RXT multi-rate leaf springs are added to the rear. Designed with an additional leaf (included with kit) that can be exchanged or added to the pack to yield an additional 10-20% spring rate, this leaf spring is perfect for drivers seeking improved rear ride quality in an “unloaded” vehicle as well as those that are have outfitted their trucks with a significant amount of weight in the form of a bed rack, roof top tent, spare tires, parts, or other additions. To compliment this increase in rear wheel travel the Stage 8 system includes a unique 2.5 Series Remote Reservoir Shock that features a side-mount eyelet that makes it shorter in collapsed length, longer at full extension and still fits in the factory mounting location. A large ten inch remote reservoir was added to aid in heat dissipation and resist shock fade during spirited driving.

These ICON Reservoir equipped Extended Travel Coilovers feature a 2.5" body nitrogen-charged race style shock that delivers a great ride both on and off the road. The 58735 External Reservoirs control feature exceptional cooling properties that provide consistent off-road performance over extended periods of continuous use. If you drive off-road on rough roads at higher speeds the external reservoir will keep the shock fluid at a lower and more consistent temperature which in turn provides better and more consistent suspension performance. The pre-installed ICON-engineered coil springs offer superior vehicle “feel” through the entire range of suspension travel. The additional 1.00" of rebound or droop travel helps to provide a better ride both on the street and off-road than the standard travel coilover does. By providing more travel at ride height this coilover still rides great even when adjusted near the maximum lift height increase settings. The coilover can provide an additional 0 to 2.75" inches of front suspension lift to provide clearance for larger tires and increased ground clearance.

The included ICON machined Billet Aluminum Upper Control Arm allows for a proper alignment when the ICON coilover is adjusted to the taller lift height settings. The ICON upper control arm features the ICON Delta Joint for extended service intervals. ICON upper control arms provide an increase in rebound suspension travel designed to work specifically with the Extended Travel coilovers included with this system. Additional rebound suspension travel is made possible though the use of a special control arm shape and by using the ICON Delta Joint instead of a standard Ball-Joint. The ICON Billet arms provide additional alignment adjustments not possible with fixed control arms. Caster and Camber are both easily adjusted to provide the best handling and tire wear possible on a lifted vehicle.

ICON RXT Leaf Springs:
To take advantage of the additional travel that the RXT Rear Suspension System offers, ICON engineers had to scrap the OE leaf springs and develop a replacement that addressed issues found in the R&D process. The result is a user-adjustable multi-rate leaf pack that offers a major performance gain for almost every Tacoma setup imaginable. Features like tip inserts and leaf separators reduce friction and increase ride comfort, while a military wrapped front eyelet improves the durability and strength of the leaf spring. To increase the ride quality of the truck and gain additional droop travel, the spring rate has been lowered slightly. While many Tacoma owners will embrace this, there are those who have outfitted their trucks with a significant amount of weight in the form of a bed rack, roof top tent, spare tires and parts or other additions. Understanding this, the leaf pack was designed with an additional leaf (included with kit) that can be exchanged or added to the pack yielding an additional 10% or 20% spring rate that will handle more "outfitted" vehicles.
