If you own an ICON Vehicle Dynamics or Donahoe Racing shock absorber or coilover and want to rebuild them this Shock Fluid is most likely going to be a necessity. A proper servicing of your ICON shocks is not complete unless you replace the old fluid. Unless your shocks are new (or almost new) the old shock fluid needs to be replaced as it will most likely be loaded with contaminants that will reduce the performance of the shock and longevity of the seals.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics 1 Gallon on Shock Fluid # 254100G. If you are rebuilding multiple shocks you may need more fluid than the standard ICON Quart size bottle. The ICON 1-Gallon size jug is generally sufficient to rebuild at least four (4) ICON 2.0 Series Shocks (non reservoir) and at least two (2) 2.5 Series (non-reservoir) shocks. Reservoir equipped and larger 3.0 body shocks will require additional fluid which means you may need to purchase 2 or more gallons.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics Premium Grade Shock Oil is to be used in all ICON rebuildable shocks. ICON does NOT recommend the use of any other fluid in their shocks. ICON Premium Grade Shock Oil ensures proper function and performance of ICON shocks.
Additional Shock Rebuild Information:
If you are buying shock fluid that means you've discharged and disassembled your shocks. ICON shock absorbers must be properly charged with Nitrogen to the recommended PSI before the shock can be put back into service on your vehicle. Charging an ICON shock equipped with the low profile charge port will require a special Nitrogen fill tool that most likely do not have and cannot source locally. The ICON Nitrogen Fill Tool # 252004 is available for purchase separate via our website. Please note that "shop air" is not recommended for use in any ICON Shock Absorber.
