ICON Toyota Tacoma Lower Control Arm Skid Plate System # 56107. Designed to fit 2016 and newer Toyota Tacoma trucks. ICON had to make some updates to their previous design to allow these skid plates to properly fit the 2016 model year trucks. These skid plates are made using 3/16" laser cut steel and offer extreme durability and a precision fit for easy installation. The ICON bolt on skid plate system also serves as a locator for the lower shock mount for their S2 Modular Performance Shock System. This modular approach allows you to install these ICON skid plates without waste if you decide to upgrade and add the full S2 system down the road. You are able to purchase knowing it is 1 of the 3 components you will need to run the S2 Secondary Shock System, giving you the opportunity to build in stages if you choose.

Steering Stop Information:
During development ICON found that the factory steering rack was responsible for stopping the steering at the extremes. The steering stops on the knuckles were not making full contact with the lower control arms before the steering was done cycling. If you can turn your steering wheel either to the extreme left or right and the steering stops on your lower control arm are not making contact with the knuckles we recommend you install the provided ICON steering stops. It is also important to cycle your steering left to right in order to make sure the brake lines and brake calipers have sufficient clearance at both extremes. Installation of the steering stops does require welding. While the use of the ICON steering stops is entirely optional we do highly recommend you take the time to install them. Taking the steering stop loads off of the steering rack may prevent costly damage from occurring.
