The Rare Parts 28723 Heavy Duty Tie Rod Kit is designed to replace the wimpy and failure prone factory tie rod found on the GM K1500 series pickup trucks and SUV's. Rare Parts Heavy Duty Tie Rod Kit # 28723 is designed for use on 1999-2006 1/2 ton Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra Trucks and 2000-2006 model year GM 1500 series SUV's. Please note this item will ONLY fit 4x4 models equipped with the torsion bar front suspension. While the rest of the GM full-size trucks and SUV's are built pretty solid the weak leak up front is the tie rods. Take a look at your stock tie rods and you'll agree, they are undersized for the task! The Rare Parts Heavy Duty Tie Rod features a large Forged one piece design and offer additional range of motion over the stock GM tie rod ends. The inner tie rod design is 50% larger than the factory pieces too. Rare Parts designed their Heavy Duty Tie Rod kit to work with factory steering knuckles (spindles) and require no modifications to install.
