This Bilstein 5100 Series Shock Absorber # 25-176407 is designed for use on 1999-2006 model year GM 1500 series 4x4 trucks and SUV's like the Avalanche 1500, Tahoe, Suburban 1500, Yukon and Yukon XL 1500. Please note, this item will also fit certain 1500 series 2wd trucks equipped with the TORSION BAR front suspension. This shock will NOT fit any coil spring equipped IFS trucks! If your Chevy GMC 1500 series 4x4 vehicle is ready for a set of replacement shocks the Bilstein 5160 series is an excellent choice.

Bilstein 1999-2006 Silverado & Sierra 4x4 Front Shock - 5160 Series # 25-176407 fits 1999 - 2006 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 and GMC Sierra K1500 series trucks built on the torsion bar front suspension. This shock will NOT fit any coil spring equipped models!
Bilstein B8 5160 remote reservoir shock absorbers are designed as a direct fit solution for torsion bar or torsion key lifted GM K1500 series trucks. The remote reservoir will offer increased cooling capacity and wheel travel to optimize overall performance compared to a traditional shock absorber. These shock absorbers feature a monotube design for consistent fade free performance and utilize velocity sensitive digressive valve settings which are tuned for each specific application. Each shock absorber is fitted with a unique 360 degree swivel banjo hose fitting, providing a clean, low profile installation. B8 5160 remote reservoir shock absorbers will increase overall durability of your vehicle allowing you to conquer the harshest of off-road environments.
These Bilstein shocks work great when an aftermarket Torsion Key Lift has been installed that has leveled the vehicle front to rear. This shock will work on stock height trucks as well as those equipped with up to a 2.5" leveling kit.
