ICON 2010 - 2014 Ford Raptor Rear Bumpstop System # 95120
ICON Vehicle Dynamics is known for putting extensive research and development into every product they build. The outcome of this research is what sets ICON apart from others in the off-road industry. Simply being good is never good enough for ICON. The Ford SVT Raptor was the first production truck that was designed and built to bridge the gap between a standard street pickup truck and a real off-road pre-runner. ICON Vehicle Dynamics' Ford Raptor Rear Hydraulic Bumpstop System has been through extensive Research and Development which includes thousands of test miles on the ICON Raptor. ICON is right when they say this is the most comprehensive Raptor bumpstop solution on the market. Keep reading below for more information...

ICON 2010 - 2014 Ford Raptor Rear Bumpstop System # 95120. What does the bumpstop do? In short, a bumpstop has one job and that is to control the final upward motion of the vehicles suspension. Quite a few Ford Raptor owners are driving their trucks harder off-road than Ford designed them to and damage can occur. Driving at higher speeds and aggressively can be fun but it can also damage the Raptor frame, especially if you carry weight in the bed of the truck. High speeds, lots of weight and big bumps or whoops cause VERY high suspension impact speeds. The factory rear bumpstop is made of foam rubber and is limited in how much energy it can absorb. The factory Raptor rear bumpstop can actually squish out to the side of its mount which can allow metal to metal contact. The frame area surrounding the OEM bumpstop mount is not capable of withstanding this type of force and repeated abuse can lead to frame damage that is not covered by Ford's warranty. That's the problem... here's the solution...
ICON Vehicle Dynamics has developed a Hydraulic Bumpstop that uses oil and Nitrogen to do two tasks: Function as both a spring and as a shock absorber. An internal Nitrogen charge is compressed when the Air Bump is compressed and this acts as a spring, similar to the OEM bumpstop. The difference is the ICON Hydraulic Air Bumps are adjustable and can be tuned to have low impact forces at the beginning of the travel then increase higher as the travel nears maximum compression. Unlike the factory bumpstop the ICON Hydraulic Bumpstop incorporates oil along with a damping piston to control the amount of energy that is returned to the suspension, reducing the vehicles tendency to kick or buck. The oil and damping piston also control the compression of the air bump relative to speed which is important for Raptors hitting obstacles at extreme speeds.
The results are a dynamic system that can offer soft and compliant compression that allows full suspension travel at slow speeds, yet at high speeds will create very high forces to resist bottoming out. The total amount of usable travel does not change, the quality of the ride and handling does. ICON's Ford Raptor hydraulic bumpstop system uses a 2.5" Travel Air Bump allowing the shock additional distance to control energy, and does not interfere with suspension travel under normal driving conditions. The clamshell bracket design with triangulated cross braces not only gives a rigid mounting point for the air bump, it helps support a known weak part of the frame that is prone to failure.
Key Features:
Designed for increased leaf spring clearance so there is no loss in up travel with stock or aftermarket springs
Easy bolt on installation without having to remove the truck bed
Bumpstop striker pad does not require leaf spring disassembly
Comfortable on road manners with sufficient damping capability under extreme load
Hydro-pneumatic bumpstop increases bump energy capacity
Velocity sensitive Hydraulic bumpstop increases the amount of energy absorbed the faster it is hit
Reduces rear end kick and improves overall performance
Clamshell brackets strengthen frame in critical areas preventing frame damage from extreme off road use
Cross member and tension rods stabilize frame rails and prevent twisting under hard impacts
Increases frame rigidity and improves overall vehicle dynamics
Industry first billet cross beam
Pre-tuned and Nitrogen charged for most Ford Raptors
Integrated adjustability for future ICON Raptor specific products
Bumpstop Features:
Linear-digressive piston which compliment a bumpstop over the industry standard linear-linear piston. Infinite tuning options with valve stack, oil volume, and nitrogen pressure adjustments
CAD Plated body for corrosion free service
Urethane rod seal and wiper for long service life
User serviceable and tunable
