Bilstein 1999 - 2006 GM 1500 2wd Front Shock # 24-062107
This Bilstein 5100 series shock is a high gas pressure Mono Tube shock is designed specifically for use Silverado and Sierra 1500 2wd trucks lifted with a coil spring or spring spacer and equipped with aftermarket upper control arms. Please note, this shock is approximately 1.5" inches longer in the extended length than the factory front shock and under certain circumstances at full suspension extension it may allow the factory upper control to make contact with the frame drop stop. Bilstein 5100 Series Shock Absorber # 24-062107. This shock is an extended travel Bilstein 5100 series shock designed for use on a lifted or leveled GM 1500 2wd truck or SUV built on the coil spring IFS equipped chassis. This shock works great on vehicles running Fabtech or CST 2" through 7" control arm and spindle suspension lifts and larger than stock tires. This shock is not recommended for use on stock height trucks.

Bilstein 5100 series shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with a self-adjusting deflective disc valving. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for both heavy hauling and occasional off-road use, while maintaining an exceptional street ride. The Bilstein 24-062107 shock features a zinc-plated steel body and the new Triple-C-Technology coating. Each shock includes the necessary bushings required for installation. Please note, the factory hardware will be re-used for the lower shock mount at the lower control arm. We do however include the correct width Bar Pin to allow for a simple bolt-on installation. Bilstein does not include a shock boot with this shock due to its very short length. PerformanceLifts.com sells these shocks individually. Please note:
This is an EXTENDED TRAVEL shock absorber that is longer in the extended length than the stock GM 1500 front shock absorber. This Bilstein shock will increase the front suspension travel to the point where the upper control arm may make contact with the droop stop. By purchasing and installing this Extended Travel shock absorber you accept that the upper control arms may contact the stop and will not hold Performance Lifts or Bilstein liable for any damage caused by this contact.
