Bilstein 2002 - 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd Front Shock # 24-062107M

Performance Lifts modifies a standard Bilstein 5100 Series # 24-062107 shock absorber by pressing out the lower barpin and bushing and replacing it with a new urethane bushing and bar pin (aka cross bar) that has the correct mounting width for use on the 2002-2008 Ram 1500 2wd trucks. This allows the use of an extended travel Bilstein 5100 series shocks on a lifted or leveled Ram 1500 2wd truck. This shock works great on vehicles running CST 2" through 7" suspension lifts and larger than stock tires. This shock is not recommended for use on stock height trucks.

Out of the box this shock is designed for a lifted Chevrolet Silverado 1500 which has a very similar weight and suspension design to the Ram trucks. The difference is we install the correct bushing and Bar Pin for use on the Ram 1500 2wd trucks. Please note, this shock is approximately 1.5" inches longer in the extended length than the factory front shock and under certain circumstances at full suspension extension it may allow the factory upper control to make contact with the frame.

Bilstein 5100 series shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with a self-adjusting deflective disc valving. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for both heavy hauling and occasional off-road use, while maintaining an exceptional street ride. The Bilstein 24-062107M shock features a zinc-plated steel body and the new Triple-C-Technology coating. Each shock includes the necessary bushings required for installation. Please note, the factory hardware will be re-used for the lower shock mount at the lower control arm. We do however include the correct width Bar Pin to allow for a simple bolt-on installation. Bilstein does not include a shock boot with this shock due to its very short length. PerformanceLifts.com sells these shocks individually. Please note:
This is an EXTENDED TRAVEL shock absorber that is longer in the extended length than the stock Ram 1500 front shock absorber. This Bilstein shock will increase the front suspension travel to the point where the upper control arm may make light contact with the coil bucket on the side of the frame. By purchasing and installing this Extended Travel shock absorber you accept that the upper control arms may contact the frame and will not hold Performance Lifts or Bilstein liable for any damage caused by this contact.
